During our event for Sustaining Members on July 2nd at Villa Necchi Campiglio in Milan, The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy announced a special collaboration with FAI Fondo Ambiente Italiano.
This non profit organization was founded in 1975 on the model of The National Trust. In its over 30 years of operating, FAI has restored and opened to the public historical buildings, castles, gardens and natural areas thanks to the contributions of the thousands of visitors, private supporters and companies.

In addition to restoring and managing properties, the Foundation also organizes national events in which, thanks to its over 100 delegations throughout Italy, it opens hundreds of historical, cultural and natural sites free to the public.  This is because FAI’s mission is not only to protect and preserve, but also to educate and create awareness among the public of the beauty and value of Italy’s vast cultural, historical and natural heritage.

FAI has around 80,000 individual members and welcomes over 350,000 visitors to its properties every year. It also collaborates closely with companies and private institutions, providing them with opportunities to support restoration projects, adopt areas within properties, sponsor national events like concerts and organize meetings, lunches, congresses, press conferences, etc. in the exclusive properties of extreme beauty belonging to FAI.  The Foundation also works with companies in order to help them to reach their Corporate Social Responsibility objectives by designing personalized projects like co-marketing of products/services and social/educational programs.
