COBCOE, the Council of British Chambers of Commerce in Europe, has launched a transition survey for businesses in continental Europe, marking a new phase in the COBCOE Brexit Ambition project.
>>Take the survey here<<
[The survey is open until mid March].
The purpose of this survey is to identify business priorities for a transition of those companies in the EU27, including what sort of transition businesses need, how long it should last and the key aspects that must be considered ahead of any agreement.
This transition research marks a new phase in the COBCOE Brexit Ambition project. The first phase focused on EU27 business priorities for a Brexit that secures prosperity for Europe, culminating in the report, Brexit – the Voices of European Business, published in September 2017. The report has been well received by representatives of the UK Government, the EU Article 50 Taskforce negotiating team and national governments across the EU 27.
We have found that there is a strong appetite for input among businesses within our network of British chambers of commerce and business groups in Europe. We will be focusing on specific outcomes from the survey to highlight what respondent companies would require in a transitional arrangement and the results of this research will form an interim report to be published in late March.
