London City Airport [LCY] is the only airport in London. Its unrivalled location, just a mile from the ExCeL exhibition centre, three miles from Canary Wharf, seven miles from the City and 10 miles from the West End, makes it the airport of choice for business people travelling to and from central London.
Welcoming 3.4 million passengers in 2013, LCY has a personal feel and prides itself on its business class environment. The size of the airport means it can offer a quick transition for passengers departing and arriving.
Flights currently operate to and from 41 destinations, including a twice-daily service between LCY and New York JFK. A number of services have been added in recent years to cater more for the leisure traveller, including Palma, Ibiza and Mahon, while many of the popular business routes turn into leisure routes during seasonal peaks, such as Switzerland for winter skiing or Amsterdam for summer breaks.
In 2012 London City Airport celebrated its 25th anniversary, marked by a visit from The Queen.
