The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy is a Mixed Chamber Member of Unioncamere – a network of both national and international Chambers of Commerce in Italy.
The Mixed and Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy are important organisations which play a strong role in the social, economic and political landscape of this country, directly representing as they do the wider business community. This makes them an extremely effective tool for increasing the level of interchange between Italy and the countries involved and thus to encourage development of this country's economy.
Unioncamere, "Unione Italiana delle Camere di Commercio, Industria e Artigianato" (The Italian Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Crafts) promotes, performs and manages services and activities of interest to the entire network of chambers of commerce throughout the country.
The Mixed Chambers of Commerce Section is active in Italy in encouraging bilateral relationships between the respective countries of origin and Italy, through actions which focus on introducing businesses to the market. The Mixed Chambers of Commerce Section, set up by Unioncamere, brings together the Mixed and Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Italy, recognised by the Italian government, that operate to facilitate contact between business and foreign markets by means of partnerships, targeted agreements and common projects.
