Alessandro Dagnino

The Regional Secretary for Sicilia, Alessandro Dagnino, is qualified as Avvocato (Italian Bar) and is an adjunct Professor of Tax Law in the University of L'Aquila.
He graduated “magna cum laude” from the University of Palermo.
Alessandro earned a Ph.D. in Tax Law at the University of Catania, with full honours, and attended courses in International Taxation and in Comparative and European Law at the Universities of Muenster and Palermo.

He taught Public Finance and Financial Law at the Law Faculty of the University of Palermo. He also thought International Taxation at  the Master Course in International and European Taxation held at the University of Palermo in 2007.
 
He is a member of the board of editors of the scientific review “Diritto e pratica tributaria internazionale” and he is a regular speaker in  conferences and seminars on taxation matters.
Publications include several articles on national and international taxation topics and a book, “Potestà normativa ed agevolazioni fiscali”, issued  in 2008. 

Alessandro has been appointed as advisor for taxation matters to the President of the Sicilian Parliament and to the Cabinet member  (Assessore) for Finance of the Sicilian regional government. He has also been a member of the board of directors of the Agenzia Regionale per   le Politiche Euro-mediterranee.
He has been practicing as a tax lawyer since 1998, and in 2016 he founded the law firm "Lexia Avvocati", with offices in Palermo, Milan, Rome, London and Skopje.

In June 2015, Alessandro was elected President of the board of arbitrators (Collegio di Probiviri) of Confcommercio Palermo. In October 2016 he was elected President of Irfis-FinSicilia SpA.
