The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy offers a credit collection
service aimed mainly at firms and/or individuals who wish to recover
outstanding credits in Italy, but also at Italian companies or individuals who
have credits in the UK.
Creditors can count on the prestige of an institution officially accredited by
the UK government, and on the professional skills of qualified and experienced
Chamber staff, as well as outside consultants. Successful action can be taken
and results obtained more quickly and at a lower cost than with legal
proceedings.
The procedures followed by the Chamber, which has many years’ experience of
this work, are:
- detailed analysis of the documentation
- definition of the most appropriate measures to recover the receivables
- checks on company/personal data, perusal of local Chamber of Commerce
registrations and entries, credit reports on the delinquent firm and/or
individual
- prompt intervention in the form of reminder letters – and, where possible,
phone calls – to the delinquent party
- preparation of settlement agreements and payment plans.
Should the action taken by the Chamber not produce the desired results, one
of the law firms forming part of our network can, upon request, initiate legal
proceedings.
