The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy, a private non-profit making association of some 450 members, recently celebrated its centenary having been established in Genoa in 1904. Over the past 100 years the Chamber has helped countless companies and individuals to succeed in business between our two countries and now prides itself on being the point of reference for the English speaking business community in Italy. Recent years have seen the Chamber reaching beyond borders in to the wider European community through its membership of COBCOE, the Council of British Chambers on Continental Europe, which has a combined membership of some 8,000 businesses.
Whether an entrepreneur, professional, manager or employee, if your business in some way involves Italy and the UK, The British Chamber of Commerce for Italy can help you start up, build and run your activity and flourish faster than you might otherwise on your own.
We offer you not just marketing opportunities, but solutions to the wide range of business problems that you will probably often have to confront. Solutions either directly from the Chamber staff, or indirectly through the members. They represent a wide range of industries and professions, all linked through our exclusive online network.
But the only way for you to find out is to join in. Take part in our business and social activities and tap into the community.
Doing business involves trust. And while a lot of business can be done on-line with no physical contact, we believe that nothing beats meeting people face-to-face. That’s why we organise regular business lunches and social gatherings in many Italian cities (and in London) to enable like-minded people to get together in pleasant surroundings with a minimum of organisational effort on your part. And for sustaining members, we organise more exclusive dinners with a prestigious guest speaker, perhaps a government minister, top diplomat or captain of industry, who would normally be hard to access.
So joining the Chamber isn’t enough. To get full benefit of what we offer, you have to join in. So the more you participate, the more you will get out of being a member.
